Kapamilya actress-host Kim Chiu was full of gratitude as she celebrated crossing the 11-million followers mark on the photo-sharing app Instagram.

In her post on Sunday, December 5, the It's Showtime host marked her latest social media milestone by sharing the story behind her Instagram account.

"This morning woke up to 11M of you here in IG," she said. "I remember when I was just setting up my first social media account as [an] 'artista' which is Instagram, didn’t know what my username will be. Thinking of… will I go for this? Am I ready to share my everyday life on the internet?" she began.

She then credited her boyfriend, actor Xian Lim, for convincing her to create a social media account, and comedienne Kakai Bautista for suggesting her username, chinitaprincess.

"@xianlimm influenced me to have a social media account then that time I was with @ilovekaye, she was the one who told me to use the CHINITAPRINCESS as my user name coz Kim Chiu was already taken. Thank you Kifs!!!! After I made an account I messaged Xi, 'May IG na ako!!!!!!' Actually ginawa ko ata 'to before kasi [ko] gusto [siya] makausap! Haha," she said.

In her post, Kim also expressed her gratitude to all her avid fans and followers for allowing her to share her journey with them.

"How cool was that ‘til now it is still my username and I am happily sharing my everyday life with all of you. Through Instagram, I can show the world what I can see, as one of my favorite sayings says 'Your life is your message to the world, make it inspiring.' Thank you for joining me on this journey. Thank you for your lovely and not so lovely comments. Thank you for letting me share with all of you my life. This is me, this is who I am. This is my world. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey of mine," she said. "Love you all, cheers to more OOTDs, adventures, family, travels, kimadvenchiure, and many more!!!!! HAPPY 11M fam!!!"

Kim, 31, is considered one of the best actresses of her generation.

She starred in the romance-drama series Love Thy Woman and the Star Cinema horror film U-Turn last year. She is set to appear in the upcoming movie trilogy, Huwag Kang Lalabas, which is an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
