After almost a year since revealing that they are now proud parents to a baby boy named Gideon, nicknamed Gido, Joem Bascon and Meryll Soriano celebrated two big milestones in their son’s life this month by having him baptized then celebrating his first birthday on the same day. Also in attendance for both events were their loved ones including Meryll’s aunt, veteran actress Maricel Soriano.

Also in attendance for both events were their loved ones including Meryll’s aunt, veteran actress Maricel Soriano.
Through her Instagram account, Meryll shared photos from the happy events. Last December 19, she shared a family photo with partner Joem wearing a couple outfit consisting of long sleeved polo shirts and tattered jeans. She wrote, “Welcome to the Christian World, Anak. ✨Thank you to all the Ninongs and Ninang that made it! And, of course, to our families and Father Roland from Jesus, Lord of Divine Mercy Parish.”

The 39-year-old actress also shared snapshots from their son Gido’s birthday party which had a Disney theme. In the family photo taken at the birthday party, Meryll’s son Elijah (with ex-husband Bernard Palanca) was also in attendance to celebrate with his family.
