Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha actor Kim Seon-ho’s ex-girlfriend penned an open letter following the controversy that surrounded the actor in the past couple of days.

Seon-ho’s ex-girlfriend claimed that the actor coerced her into getting an abortion and promised to marry her and that they would live together if she did so.

On Tuesday, October 19, Seon-ho admitted to the allegations against him. He said he is genuinely sorry for what he had done to her.

“I sincerely apologize for the belated statement. I experienced a fear that [I] felt for the first time after the article with the mention of my name was released a while ago, and that is why I am writing this now,” he wrote, as translated by Korean entertainment site Soompi.

“I was seeing her with good emotions. In that process, I hurt her due to my carelessness and inconsiderate actions,” he added.

“I wanted to meet and apologize to her directly, but I am not able to properly convey the apology now and am waiting for that time to come. For now, I would like to genuinely apologize to her through this statement,” he continued.

As a result of the controversy, Seon-ho was removed from the Korean reality TV show 2 Days & 1 Night. He will no longer appear in the films Dog Days and 2 O’clock Date.

Seon-ho’s agency, Salt Entertainment, also issued a statement and said they apologize for causing concern and disappointment.

“We apologize for causing concern to many with actor Kim Seon Ho’s personal matters. We would like to apologize to all those who were disappointed and troubled by this issue. Once again, we apologize for worrying you with an unpleasant matter,” his agency said in a statement.

Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend issued another statement after the actor issued an apology.

“I am sorry that my writing has caused unintentional damage to many people,” his former girlfriend wrote in a post.

“There was a time when both he [Kim Seon-ho] and I truly loved each other but I also feel bad to see him collapse in an instant due to some of my extreme posts. I received an apology from him and it seems that there was a misunderstanding between us,” she added.

“I hope that no more false information will be revealed or that my or his story will be expanded and reproduced. My heart is heavy because it seems that this incident has caused a lot of damage to many people. This post will be down soon,” the post continued.

As more and more netizens and social media users expose the identity of Seon-ho’s girlfriend, her lawyers decided to issue a warning on the possible legal action to be undertaken should this continue.
