After joining the FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano cast last month as Angelito, former flame to Yassi Pressman’s character Alyana, Richard Gutierrez said it was not hard to make the audience believe that he has onscreen chemistry with Yassi. “First time ko siya makatrabaho. Although we would see each other na before pa pero ngayon lang kami nagkasama sa mga eksena. Parang relax ako katrabaho si Yassi. Relaxed ako sa personality niya. Winelcome talaga ako ng buong Probinsyano family. I felt very relaxed nung first day (sa set),” he shared.

The 36-year-old actor said that contrary to the notion that it would be awkward to do scenes with one of his wife Sarah Lahbati’s real-life BFFs, the fact actually made it easier for him to work with her. “Actually mas naging relaxed nga ako eh. Kasi matagal ko na ngang kilala si Yassi and then yun nga sa mga parties lagi ko siyang nakakausap and nakikita so parang relaxed na ako sa kanya. So nung ginagawa namin yung mga eksena parang wala na kaming ilangan, mas kumportable na kami sa isa’t isa. Parang mas relaxed ako sa kanya kasi kaibigan siya ni Sarah,” he explained.

With the strong following of the longtime followers of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano lead star and director Coco Martin and Yassi’s love team, Richard said his presence will actually help make the story more exciting. “Sa lahat ng mga supporters ng Cardo-Alyanna, pero andito nga si Lito na bagong salta (laughs) sa Probinsyano and abangan nila kasi mas magiging exciting pa yung mga kuwento, yung parang love triangle naming tatlo. And gagawin talaga ni Lito ang lahat para makuha niya si Alyanna. Mas marami pang mangyayari. Madaming magaganap diyan,” he shared.
