‘90s teen show T.G.I.S celebrates 25th anniversary

Last August 12, the mid-‘90s teen show T.G.I.S celebrated it’ 25th anniversary with a virtual Zoom reunion of its original cast led by Angelu De Leon, Bobby Andrews, Ciara Sotto, Rica Peralejo, Raven Villanueva, Bernadette Allyson, Red Sternberg, Onemig Bondoc, Michael Flores, and director Mark Reyes.

Angelu de Leon, who played lead actress Peachy Real posted a throwback photo of the main cast with the caption, “Happy 25th anniversary, TGIS! Sa mga nagmahal, nagmamahal at bago lang kaming minamahal maraming salamat at ginawa niyo kaming parte ng buhay niyo.”

Michael Flores, who plays Mickey in the show, also shared his own anniversary post of their long-running show which ran for 233 episodes from 1995 to 1999 wrote, “HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY MGA MIGS!! SALAMAT @heartofasia2003 at binuhay niyo ulit ang barkada na nagsimula nang youth oriented show on Philippine television since 1995! Sa lahat po ng supporters namin mula noon hanggang ngayon at sa mga kabataan na patuloy na tumatangkilik sa programa namin, MARAMING SALAMAT PO! Mabuhay ang TGIS!”

Another T.G.I.S actress Ciara Sotto who played Rain Abrera posted photos of her favorite memories with the cast on and off camera in her most recent Instagram post. “Happy 25th Anniversary T.G.i.S.!!! Here’s to the old times and the best of new ones. I’m always walking on sunshine when we’re together. I won’t think it over again, I’ll take you to the top. I try and comprehend you but I’ve got a dyslexic heart! 🥰 🏼 I love you guys so much! I miss you! See you later!!!”
