Kim Atienza took to social media to ask his followers and supporters to pray for his doctor who has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, July 29, the television host and weather anchor said it was Dr. Jonas del Rosario of the Philippine General Hospital who operated on him when he had a stroke caused by a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) or a congenital hole in his heart back in 2010.

“The doctor who sealed that hole was @dokjonas. He did the procedure via a catheter using an Amplatzer occluder, a peso sized metal device he put inside my heart which was new and untested then,” captioned Kim to photos of him with his cardiologist.

“I was the first human being he performed that procedure on. Doc Jonas and I took that gamble and succeeded by God's grace. I run Ironman races and marathons with Doc Jonas' Amplatzer embedded in the middle of my heart,” he added.

He went on: “Ten years after that groundbreaking medical procedure, Doc Jonas now needs our prayers. He leads the PGH (Philippine General Hospital) frontliners and is infected with COVID-19. I'd like to request all my friends to storm the heavens for his healing.

“We love you doc Jonas, You are healed in JESUS name. We claim it!”
