Supermodel-host Heidi Klum has finally gotten herself tested for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), after revealing last week that she was ill and was unable to get a test.

On Instagram on Saturday, March 14, the "America's Got Talent" judge revealed that she had gotten the test with her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, who is also not feeling well upon returning from his tour a couple of days ago.

As they await the result, the couple has been practicing social distancing at home, as evident in a video where she is seen kissing her husband through a glass window.

Like many of you, I also have been sick all week and, unfortunately, my husband who returned from his tour a couple of days ago is also feeling ill. To be safe, we are staying apart until we get the results of our Coronavirus tests (that we were finally able to get today) back. We don’t want to spread germs and risk others getting sicker... even each other! As much as I want to embrace him and kiss him, it is more important to do the right thing and not spread further. ❤️ These are strange times... but in these moments, you remember what’s really important- the people you love and keeping them safe. Social distancing is what we all need to do right now to be responsible citizens of the world. "We don’t want to spread germs and risk others getting sicker... even each other! As much as I want to embrace him and kiss him, it is more important to do the right thing and not spread further," she added.

The 46-year-old Heidi went on to encourage her fans and followers to similarly practice social distancing in order to help limit the spread of the COVID-19.

"These are strange times... but in these moments, you remember what’s really important--the people you love and keeping them safe. Social distancing is what we all need to do right now to be responsible citizens of the world. We are all in this together and it is up to us to protect our loved ones, and our neighbors and our communities. In an Instagram Stories post just a day prior, Heidi said that her symptoms include chills, fever, cough, and a runny nose.

So far, the public figures who have tested positive for COVID-19 include actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, as well as National Basketball Association (NBA) players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell
