South Korean actress and K-Pop singer Lee Hye-ri donated her hair to cancer-stricken patients.

Hye-ri, who is best known for her role as Sung Duk-seon in the hit tvN drama series Reply 1988 back in 2016, cut her hair for the first time in five years.

The 26-year-old Korean star herself cut her hair but sought the help of some hairstylists to make sure it gets the proper treatment it deserves.

The Girls’ Day member said it makes her fulfilled to be able to donate her hair to those who need it the most.

“It will be donated to the headquarters that makes wigs for child cancer patients. I’ll donate my hair to those who need this more than I do.” She added: “So I feel very fulfilled.”

Admitting that she liked how her hair turned out to be, she stated: “I am very pleased with how it’s turned out.”

Hye-ri, who sported almost the same hairstyle five years ago, said she thinks it looks better than the one she had before.

“I think it looks different from how I looked in the past with short hair. I am very pleased that it looks different. And it’s very light.
