Shot in Morocco, the film will follow the story of an entrepreneur (Jelson Bay) who goes on an emotional journey in Morocco to put together pieces of his estranged mother’s turbulent life, meeting her adopted daughter (Sue Ramirez) along the way.

Maria Ancheta, who helms the said film, said she hopes Finding Agnes would open new doors for more Filipino filmmakers in the future.

Finding Agnes is only one of the several Netflix originals from the Philippines set to be released this year with Hayop Ka! The Nimfa Dimaano Story and Alter Me among those in the pipeline. It comes out globally on Netflix on November 30.
