Liza Soberano is on her way to recovery following the completion of her second and last operation on her injured finger in Los Angeles, California last July 4.

“Successful naman ang operation but of course shes in pain right now,” shared Joni Castillo, who’s been with Liza since the first phase of the operation.

Liza underwent a “Fusion,” a procedure that takes a bone from another part of the body to fill up the other parts. In young star’s case, a bone from her hip was taken to fill up her dead finger bone.

“According to her doctor two weeks recovery depending on the swelling of her wound and then we are allowed to travel back home,” Joni happily shared

It may be recalled that Liza, who had to beg off from doing the iconic Darna role due to an injury that she sustained while shooting her Kapamilya Primetime soap Bagani.

She underwent an operation that was supposed to remove the plates on her inger last May 15 in the US. But due to an unprecedented infection, she needed to stay abroad for four more weeks in order for it to be treated.

“Meron siyang IV Line for the antibiotic, weekly blood test para ma monitor ang effect ng gamot then 2 weeks antibiotic tablet. Last June 27 last take niya ng gamot,” she said.

Liza took on her second operation with eagerness to get better.

“Well she is brave. But two days before the surgery medyo nagkaroon siya ng anxiety attack, dahil siyempre inisip nya yung mga hindi na nya pwedeng gawin because of what happened,” Liza’s companion further said.

Speaking of the things she’ll do, Liza is set to reunite in the small screen with her real and reel life partner Enrique Gil soon.

Meanwhile, her supporters can now rest easy and expect her to come back to the country this July.
