Marcelito Pomoy is still on cloud nine after meeting his idol Celine Dion. The singer took to Instagram to thank Ellen DeGeneres who made it all possible.

"Thank you The Ellen Show. Thank you for this gift more so for the chance of a lifetime to meet, hug and have a chance to take photo with Celine Dion, an exclusive moment, a face to face. I am so speechless. Her security might be too strict which I understand but just to be near her is a memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life," he stated.

Marcelito shared that meeting a celebrity abroad is far different from how it is done in the Philippines. "Ibang-iba sa Pinas. Doon madaling lapitan, pwedeng-pwedeng hilahin, pwedeng kurutin, pwedeng halikan, pwedeng magpapicture kahit saan. Dito susuot ka sa butas ng karayom. Hindi pwedeng magpicture gamit ang sariling camera o phone mo.. alam mo yong feeling na gustong gusto mo ng magvideo ng patago pero hindi pwede dahil ipapaiwan sa'yo lahat ng gamit mo para lang makapasok sa Dressing Room ni Celine Dion. May sariling photographer na magsesend na lang sayo ng picture at yon ang aantayin mo. Even sa show walang meet and greet after the concert. Hindi din pwdeng magrequest ng selfie, walang ganun," he said.

Despite the strict security, Marcelito described the experience as a once in a lifetime opportunity.
