Films ‘Pailalim’ and ‘Jino To Mari’ won big at the annual Sinag Maynila Gabi ng Parangal held Sunday night at Conrad Manila in Pasay City.

The former swept a total of four major awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Daniel R. Palacio, while the latter bagged Best Screenplay, Best Musical Score, and the prestigious Sinag Maynila Box-Office Award.

Meanwhile, stars Sylvia Sanchez (Jesusa) and Angela Cortez (Jino To Mari) tied as Best Actress, while the recognition for Best Actor was awarded to Nar Cabico for Akin Ang Korona.

Sinag Maynila Independent Film Festival is a joint force of Solar Entertainment Corporation President Wilson Tieng and acclaimed filmmaker Brillante Mendoza that aims to support local independent cinema, as well as to inspire, educate and enlighten Filipino movie audiences.
