The TNT Boys have taken their bow in the American talent show ‘The World’s Best’ after placing second to the acapella group Naturally 7 in the Championships round of the competition last Wednesday (US time).

The trio – comprised of Francis Concepcion, Mackie Empuerto, and Kiefer Sanchez – marked what would be their last performance onstage with a flawless rendition of Jessie J’s ‘Flashlight’, which drew encouraging remarks from the panel of judges anew. "When you have a show called 'The World's Best,' that's a very high bar to set and you guys just reach it every time if not surpass it,” judge Drew Barrymore, for one, told the TNT Boys.

However, the end result saw Naturally 7 as the overall champion, leaving the Filipino group to bow out of the show after a good run of over one month.

In an Instagram post last Thursday, singer Pops Fernandez, who has witnessed their journey as part of the jurors known as Wall of the World, said that she’s immensely proud of the trio regardless if they had failed to reach the finals. “It is such an honor watching your outstanding, amazing performance [TNT Boys] you have brought tears to my eyes every time you sang. So proud of you. The world knows and has seen your awesomeness. Keep making us proud. This is just a beginning, there will be more wonderful moments to come.”

Meanwhile, the TNT Boys is certain that this wouldn’t be the last time that the international scene would witness their world-class talent. Talking to ABS-CBN reporter Mario Dumaual, they told: “Wag po kayong mag-alala kasi hindi pa po yun ang huli. Marami pa po kaming maipapakita sa inyo. Hindi lang po sa World’s Best kundi sa iba’t ibang show pa po.”
