Actress Ara Mina is back to her first love after recently re-enrolling to her previous culinary school to focus on improving her craft as pastry chef of her solo food venture, Hazelberry Cupcakes.

Last Tuesday, the 39-year-old mom took to Instagram to announce that she would be taking classes at the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM) in Quezon City, the same school she attended to take up cooking lessons in Fundamentals in Pastry Arts about six years ago.

“Yes! I'm back in @ISCAHM after 6 years to enhance and polish my skills even better on baking cakes and cooking dishes,” she said.

In a previous interview with StarStudio, Ara revealed that she’s always been fond of baking even before she entered showbiz in the early ’90s – a passion that was inspired by her late grandmother Sonya Mathay during her youth.

Currently, Ara oversees a total of three branches of what used to be her small baking services through Hazelberry Cupcakes – the label being a combination of her real name, Hazel Klenk Reyes, and berry, a fruit and staple ingredient in baking.
