After more than a year since announcing his engagement, 32-year-old Filipino-American actor Darren Criss officially tied the knot with his girlfriend of almost eight years Mia Swier.

According to PEOPLE, the couple exchanged vows in New Orleans with several stars from the show Glee—where Darren Criss first rose to fame—were in attendance including Lea Michele, John Stamos, Chord Overstreet, and Harry Shum Jr.

Last month, Darren Criss made headlines after acknowledging his Filipino roots when he dedicated his Golden Globes win for his role in the TV series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story to his “firecracker” Filipino mom who hails from Cebu City.

"This has been a marvelous year for representation in Hollywood, and I'm so enormously proud to be a teeny-tiny part of that as the son of a firecracker Filipino woman," he said during his acceptance speech.

Weeks later, he bagged the Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) for Male Actor in a Miniseries for Television Movie for the same role.
