Actress Iza Calzado turned to image-sharing site Instagram over the weekend to share her reaction to fellow star Judy Ann Santos's win as best actress in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019.

Via Instagram Stories, a fan account who goes by the username izadoration reposted a tweet from a netizen who aired her dismay over Iza not being recognized for the coveted award, saying, "Disappointed that Iza Calzado wasn't even nominated for Best Actress. Kahit nomination man lang!"

In response, the fan account said that not winning the award doesn't make their idol any less of a brilliant actress that she is, adding, "Iza gave Ana life ... she delivered well and that alone makes her a winner. Juday [deserved] the award naman din."

Iza, in her Instagram Stories post, then agreed by stating, "Judai deserved that award. Periodt."

Iza stars in the Alvin Yapan film, "Culion", while Judy Ann topbills the Brillante Mendoza flick, "Mindanao".

Both movies have been showing in cinemas nationwide since Christmas Day, December 25, as two of the eight official entries to the MMFF 2019. The film festival will run until Tuesday, January 7.
