Nancy McDonie of the K-pop group Momoland on Thursday happily took to social media to announce that she has retrieved her Instagram account after getting hacked.

Using Momoland's official Twitter account, Nancy extended her gratitude to her fans and followers, stating, "Thank you Merries for your support. It really made my day."

Earlier on Thursday, her agency, MLD Entertainment, confirmed in an official statement that Nancy's personal social networking service account was forcefully deleted as a result of illegal hacking.

"The same hacker is currently inflicting secondary damage by creating an account with the exact same ID, posing as Nancy herself," they said.

"As a result, we have requested aid from the cyber crime investigation unit as well as the parent company of this SNS platform for the account's recovery," they added.

Early this month, MLD Entertainment and ABS-CBN signed a multi-project deal that includes a travel show featuring the K-pop group going around the country.

It was later revealed that Nancy will be teamed up with James Reid for a new teleserye, titled Soulmate, which will be helmed by On The Wings of Love director Antoinette Jadaone.

A release date for the upcoming series has yet to be announced as of this writing.
