Actress Claudine Barretto could not help but get emotional when she prayed for her late boyfriend, actor Rico Yan, to help her "take care of daddy" as she paid a random visit to his grave recently.

Claudine's father, Miguel Alvir Barretto, died last October 15 after two weeks at the hospital due to acute respiratory failure.

In a video she shared on Instagram on Wednesday, apparently recorded prior to the death of Mr. Barretto over a week ago, the 40-year-old star can be heard saying: "I’m so scared, Rico. I’m scared to lose my dad. . . It’s not going to be the same anymore.”

Rico died in 2002 at the age of 27.

According to her sister, Marjorie, with whom she has been estranged from for many years, Claudine had been a constant presence during their father's hospitalization, even taking the "night shift" to personally keep watch of Mr. Barretto.

Her post came days after Marjorie claimed in a televised interview that Claudine started the exchange of harsh words during the October 16 wake of their father, leading to the scuffle involving the two siblings and another sister, Gretchen.
