Fifth Solomon's directorial debut on the big screen - Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka is not the ultimate hugot movie of the season for no reason. In fact, it's full of relatable raw banters that will leave a deeper cut to all the already-broken hearts out there.

Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka follows the story of Jaz Cruz, (Alex Gonzaga) a girl who's torn between having her heart replaced with a new one to forget her ex-boyfriend (Vin Abrenica), or go on pinning for him in the hopes that he might one day return to her.

One day, her best friend (Jerald Napoles) decided to bring her somewhere to help her forget all the bad memories she had with her ex in the past. But once the two arrive at their destination, things slowly start coming back to Jaz as she is taken back to the place where it all began - Bataan.

With Jaz realizing that her ex-boyfriend is not coming back anymore, will she finally let go of her past or will she still hold on to the pain and look forward to the uncertainty of the future?

The film is worthy of praise as it had several moments that will hit the brokenhearted to the core. Plus, the balance between Alex' funny hugot moments and drama bring out a more natural side of her in the movie, making every scene relatable enough to the audience.

Overall, Solomon's debut both as a writer and director proved to be a success as his well-written narrative - a mix of realism and fantasy - overshadowed the shortcomings in the technical aspect of the film.

While Nakalimutan Ko Nang Kalimutan Ka may seem like a formulaic rom-com movie, it is a treat especially for fans of Pinoy Big Brother to see former housemates' Alex and Fifth's collaborative work on the big screen.
