Dolce & Gabbana designer and co-founder Stefano Gabbana made the online world abuzz after calling actress and singer Selena Gomez ugly on Instagram. The designer commented on the post of The Catwalk Italia's Instagram post which featured Selena wearing red attires. Stefano wrote in Italian, "È proprio brutta!” This translates to "she's really ugly" in English.

Various celebrities defended Selena from the designer.

Pop star and former Disney actress Miley Cyrus posted, "Well what that d*** head said (if it's true) is f***ing false and total bull s***. She's fine as f***."

Actress and model Jaime King tweeted, "Because they are ugly humans who cannot handle the beauty of S that radiates from her soul and her physical being."

Meanwhile singer and songwriter Julia Michaels wrote, "@selenagomez just here to tell you that you are one of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out. I love you always."
