Li starred in the hugely popular Shaolin Temple and Once Upon in China movies in the ‘80s and ‘90s. His Hollywood career took off with projects like Lethal Weapon 4, Romeo Must Die, all The Expendables films, and Forbidden Kingdom among others.

Lately, the action star was photographed donning glasses and sporting a shaved head in a temple in Tibet according to a report by the South China Morning Post. Although the 55-year-old martial arts expert appeared to need assistance while walking, his manager Steven Chasman, in an interview with The Washington Post, clarified all speculations about his client. “He has hyperthyroidism that he’s been dealing with for almost 10 years. It’s nothing life-threatening and he’s dealing with it. I guess it’s sensationalism,” Chasman explained.
