Marlisa Punzalan has found a home in Star Music, and she couldn’t be more excited to finally be working with some of the country’s finest artists. But does she have plans to act on screen?

During her contract signing with Star Music, she expressed how ecstatic she is to be part of the country’s premiere record label.

“I’m very, very happy. To be honest, it’s a dream come true - especially now that I get to spend some time here in my background country. So I’m very, very excited and happy,” she said.

“I feel very privileged. As a Filipino artist, I’m really, really happy I get to work along and meet other artists here and explore the culture here as well because I grew up in Australia. And now that I get the chance to learn about the Philippines and work in the Philippines with these amazing supporters and awesome musicians, I’m very, very honoured and happy and feeling really, really blessed,” she said.

When asked if she is open to become an actress, she answered, “Well, I’m open to all the activity here. Of course, I’ll be focusing on my music. I’ll be working on my album - my originals. Some of them I composed myself and I’m really, really happy that they are being produced by amazing producers from Tarsier - Moophs and KidWolf as well. So yeah, I’m really, really happy.”

Marlisa Punzalan won 'X Factor Australia' back in 2014.
