With her big day happening on April 20, Coleen Garcia said she and her wedding team are already on the last leg of preparations. “I just love this team so much and I think when this wedding is over, the thing I’m going to miss the most is this team we have that’s been working on everything. So from the Despedida de Soltera to the wedding itself, I’m just going to leave it all up to them and sabi nila i-su-surprise na lang nila ako. So I’m just going to wait kung ano man yung magiging surprise,” she shared.

The bride-to-be said she has full trust in her team whom she and fiancé Billy Crawford handpicked themselves. “Kasi kung ako mismo yung mag-de-decide baka hindi maganda or they know us so well at this point and they know what we like and what we don’t like so I don’t want to clip their wings kasi napakagaling naman talaga nila. Billy and I chose them for a reason and we really believe in what they’re capable of doing. Ang pinaka-worry naman talaga namin from the start is really the guests. So yung invitations and who can come and trying to make a way for those who aren’t able to come but want to, so yun yung pinaka-main source of worries namin,” she admitted.

Coleen also explained the reason why they only sent their wedding invitations in the same month of the wedding. “It’s hard explaining it especially to our bosses and to a lot of important people in our lives kasi siyempre yung family namin naintindihan naman nila kasi malapit sila sa amin so they know what’s going on. Our invitations actually arrived late. We only released them this month, the same month of the wedding. Usually we do that at least three months before the wedding pero ang sa amin kasi, that was our pagkukulang naman kasi ang hirap din naman kasi ng guest list. Kahit gaano ka-intimate yung gusto namin for our wedding, mahirap talaga to exclude people. Intimate pa rin naman considering nakita niyo kung gaano kalaki family namin,” she explained.

Apart from having 250 guests, the wedding will have a star-studded lineup of sponsors including Sharon Cuneta, Karla Estrada, and Gov. Vilma Santos. Coleen also shared more details about her specially designed wedding gown. “The first thing I really did was I had to choose a good designer na perfect sa akin. There are a lot of really big names out there when it comes to wedding dresses and I didn’t want to be distracted by those names. I just really tried to look for the right designer for me that suits my personality and I was able to find her. From there we got to discussing what would be nice for me and what would be perfect for the day itself. Siyempre it has to do with the venue as well. So it’s in coordination also with the theme which we will be having for our wedding,” she said.

The 25-year-old actress said she wants her custom-made gown to reflect her simple personality. “As an artist I really get to wear a lot of gowns often so I wanted this one to be different in a sense na I wanted it to be the only gown I would wear na very me. It’s simple but it has a twist to it. There’s something special about it. The cut is just very simple. I don’t want anyone to expect much out of it because it’s really just something I would wear. Me as Coleen not me as an artist,” she added.
