There is no limit to being fit and sexy.

This has been proven time and again by the many who dared take on the challenge that is the Century Tuna Superbods, the hunt for the fittest and healthiest men and women from all over the country. This year’s competition broke limits once again when they introduced the Ageless category. While the Superbods’ invitation was only for those aged 18 to 37, the Ageless category opened the challenge to those aged 38 to 50.

For two months, the 40 finalists’ grit was tested through a variety of challenges. Finally, last April 12, their ordeal came to an end during the Finals Night at Cove Manila.

Leading the way were hosts Rovilson Fernandez, Gelli Victor, and Luis Manzano. They were also joined by Boys Night Out DJs Sam YG, Tony Toni, and Slick Rick. Brand ambassadors Alice Dixson, Ina Raymundo, and Sunshine Cruz graced the event as well, along with Paulo Avelino, Matteo Guidicelli, and Gerald Anderson.

The tough decisions rested upon the shoulders of the judges present: Kiefer Ravena, Francis Libiran, Solenn Heussaff, Tweetie De Leon-Gonzalez, Korina Sanchez-Roxas, Ariel Comia, and Greg Banzon.

• Superbod Beachbod: Tommy Tiangco & Maureen Montagne
• Ageless Beachbod: Rob Geronimo & Glenda Bayona
• Arya Social Media Award: Kim Ross Williams
• People’s Choice Award: Tommy Tiangco & Michelle Garcia
• Ultimate Challenge Champions: Anthony Wahl & Maureen Montagne, Grech Go & Angel Jones

Forty aspirants were whittled down to twenty, with just 5 contestants left for each category. It all came down to the Q&A. Each one was given 40 seconds to answer and seal the deal.

Century Tuna Superbod 2018 1^st Runner-up – Male: Anthony Wahl, 30 years old

“Rather than say one person who has helped me in this competition, I would say I’m blessed to join this competition where the Ageless got to participate. I think they’re wonderful people and they’re role models, and they give me something to aspire to be. One day, when I become ageless, I want to look, act, feel and be confident just like them.”

Century Tuna Superbod 2018 1^st Runner-up – Female: Bella Ysmael, 21 years old

“Joining Century Tuna and becoming a Superbod, the most important thing I’ve learned is to love yourself. It’s powerful. Loving yourself is powerful because it allows you to achieve anything that you believe you can achieve. I think that’s what I’ve been able to do in this competition, and I’m really proud of myself.”

Century Tuna Superbod 2018 Grand Winner – Male: Jules Aquino, 25 years old

“(The physical feature that) I couldn’t live without are my eyes. Not because I’m pretty, but because I wouldn’t be able to appreciate all the art forms. I’m a very visual person. I love to see movement. I want to see dance. You get to see culture. You could do so much by just seeing. A lot of what I do in fitness is through seeing. I try to learn, I try to understand, and I act and I execute.”

Century Tuna Superbod 2018 Grand Winner – Female: Maureen Montagne, 24 years old

“I think the best trait that I have developed living a healthy lifestyle has been learning discipline. It’s not just taking care of your diet, but it’s also making time to go work out, making sure that you’re always living your best lifestyle, and really putting your best foot forward in life.”

Century Tuna Ageless 2018 1^st Runner-up – Male: Jerome Salvado, 39 years old

“I would like to raise more information about obesity. Obesity is a disease that most Filipinos now are facing. I used to face that before. I was 450 lbs., and I’m here right now, living my dream, and telling people who have that condition of obesity that there is hope. As long as you work hard enough and you dream big enough, you would achieve your dream.”

Century Tuna Ageless 2018 1^st Runner-up – Female: Mica Fuentes, 39 years old

“I think that my toughest and fiercest competitor in no other than myself. I don’t believe in comparing myself to others. I just want to focus on bettering myself. I think you should just compete with yourself instead of comparing yourself with others.”

Century Tuna Ageless 2018 Grand Winner – Male: Johann Ludovica, 42 years old

“What motivates me (to keep fit) is basically the look itself and the feeling itself. Every time I look at myself in the mirror, I get so inspired. I see the development. When you are fit and healthy, you’re going to feel that. You’re going to be less sickly, you’ll be able to do a lot of things and, definitely, (there will be) a lot of benefits. You get to enjoy life more.”

Century Tuna Ageless 2018 Grand Winner – Female: Angel Jones, 39 years old

“The advice that I’ll give is what I tell everybody: fall in love with yourself first. Don’t go out there looking for love, because when you fall in love with yourself first, that’s when everything changes: your mental health, your physical self, your goals, your dreams, your standards. Girls! We keep our standards up here, just as high as our heels, right? So fall in love with yourself first, that’s what I would say.”
