Like any mother, Kris Aquino is protective and caring about her children, especially her first-born Josh, who is diagnosed with autism.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, March 14, Kris shared a photo of her and her bunso Bimby, saying Josh was absent because of a medical procedure ‘fractional CO2’ to get rid of some acne scars he developed on the sides of his face. Kris explained that she is just being proactive as a mother.

“Until his face totally heals & he’s scab free, I’m sparing him any pictures posted on my feed - super kawawa but he still came home smiling after his session. Dra said his pain threshold was amazing,” Kris shared.

Fans commented how wonderful Kris is handling her son with all his needs and suggested that she be a spokesperson for mothers who have kids with autism.

Kris replied that she is “not the right person” since their “experience has been totally different.”

“I’m being 100% honest, Kuya Josh has had the best intervention possible because I had the financial means.”

Kris also revealed that Josh has been bullied many times by many people who have called him “mongoloid," “abnoy,” and “karma ng buhay niyo.” This led her to minimize his exposure and stated the request of the netizen is easy to do but she wouldn’t do it for the sake of her family.

Another netizen suggested that this could be Kris’ legacy and her “ticket to be forever in the history of our country” much like how her parents helped in the country's democracy.

The comment did not have a very good impact on Kris.

“Na sensitive na ko about 'legacy' because nakakapagod to keep your mouth shut when there are so many facts I can use to defend the place of my parents in history,” she said.

“That decision doesn’t just affect me but affects my 2 sons- do they deserve further bullying?” she added.

She also mentioned that right now she chooses peace and requests that people respect her decision.
