It was certainly a surreal moment for Kylie Padilla having seen her mother, Liezel Sicangco, and her stepmother, Mariel Rodriguez, side by side to catch their first glimpse of her in a wedding gown minutes before walking down the aisle last Tuesday.

In an Instagram post shared by Mariel, the It’s Showtime host and Robin Padilla’s current wife said that she’s proud of how her husband and Liezel raised Kylie into a woman she could only wish for her daughter to look up to.

“The reaction when you see a real life Angel. Beautiful inside out, [Kylie], raised by her parents [Robin and Liezel] to be independent, strong, passionatec and kind... We are so, so, so happy for you!,” wrote Mariel.

Kylie exchanged vows with her longtime partner and father of her son, Alas Joaquin, Aljur Abrenica, in a grand wedding ceremony, witnessed by a few friends and close family.

Aside from Kylie, Robin and Liezel have three other children, Queenie, Ali, and Zhen-Zhen, all of whom were also present for the special occasion.
