Talent ng Mercator Modelling Agency si Enrico Cuenca na unang nakilala sa Jollibee TV commercial. Ngayon ay pinasok na rin niya ang pelikula at kasama siya sa cast ng Recipe For Love.

Una naming tanong kay Enrico kung aware ba siya sa nangyari sa isa ring male TV commercial model na hinuli ng awtoridad dahil sa diumano’y possession niya ng illegal party drugs sa mismong bahay niya.

“If you’re asking for my personal opinion, it’s hard for me to say kasi di ko siya kilala, eh. I really don’t know what he goes through. I really don’t know why he did what he did.

“Pero for my personal experience, I guess the reason why people in my industry ay nai-involve sa drugs because sometimes talaga the schedule, they get really intense. And hindi ka puwedeng pagod, hindi ka puwedeng malungkot. You have to be always ready to work and I guess some people—for them drug helps them—when they’ really tired or they’re really sad, so they can keep going.

“I’m not saying it’s right. Kasi that’s illegal, basta illegal I’m not going to justify. I’m just saying that I can understand why they would go find drugs to make themselves feel comfortable,” tuluy-tuloy na paliwanag ng binata base sa kanyang obserbasyon.

May mga kakilala din ba siyang commercial models na dating na-involve sa drugs?

“Well, I hear stories, it’s inevitable, eh. May mga tao talaga that will do that, I accept that, but me, personally, I don’t really hang out with a lot of people. Medyo loner kasi ako, eh,” rason niya.

Hindi naman itinanggi ni Enrico na may mga pagkakataong in-offeran na rin siyang gumamit ng party drugs.

“There’s a part of this industry kasi that encourages that lifestyle. Yeah, I’ve been offered pero I never accepted. Wala eh, I’m okay, ang kailangan ko lang naman ay tulog saka kain, eh, yon lang masaya na ako,” sambit niya.

Eh, paano ba niya iniiwasan ang temptation to use party drugs?

Sagot niya, “Well, I just say no. Kahit na napi-peer pressure ako minsan, I just say I’m okay. I won’t judge you if you do it, pero ako personally, okay na ako.”
