Rumors about Gong Yoo and his Train to Busan co-star Jung-Yu Mi getting married began circulating online soon after a netizen posted a supposed 'leaked information' at an online community asserting that a Shilla Hotel employee exposed their alleged wedding plans.

“Gong Yoo is getting married~ He made a reservation at Shilla Hotel yesterday, and someone working there leaked the information. The wedding’s with Jung Yoo Mi," the netizen said in the post.

But the agency of the two, Soop Entertainment, was quick to respond to the rumors saying: “We are releasing a statement regarding the rumor that’s spreading on social media and various online community sites right now. The rumors about Gong Yoo and Jung Yoo Mi are totally false. From here on out, we will be taking firm legal action against rumors and malicious comments.”

Likewise, according to a report by South Korean entertainment news portal Soompi, a source from the management of the two celebrities also dismissed the rumors stating, “The marriage rumors between Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-Mi aren’t true at all. The two aren’t even like siblings; they’re like brothers. Gong Yoo treats Jung Yoo Mi like a younger brother.”

Gong Yoo is known for his roles in Goblin: The Lonely and Great God while Jung-Yu Mi is famous for her roles in Family Ties and Chaw. Both starred in the films Train To Busan and Silenced.
