Fresh from their US tour, Pinoy rock band Aegis returns to the country with a grand homecoming concert that will also celebrate their successful two decades in the music business. “Mixed emotions kami. Ganun talaga,” Aegis vocalist Juliet Sunot shared during the Aegis na Aegis presscon held last August 8 at Resorts World Manila.

Apart from making their mark on the Pinoy rock scene with their classic hit songs “Halik,” “Basang Basa sa Ulan,” and “Luha,” Aegis admitted that they also plan to share their own versions of other rock songs as well as current popular hits. “Mga Heart, basta mga Celine Dion, Whitney Houston na in a Aegis way.

Despite their popularity, Aegis admitted that they have had their fair share of challenges during the past decade especially whenever they go abroad. Simula nung 15 shows namin lahat napuno namin.

With a new generation of music lovers, the group said they have no doubts about their universal musical appeal. Yung covers namin na the Aegis way pa rin.

As one of the vocalists of Aegis, Juliet (along with her fellow vocalist and sister Mercy) saidthey have no special secrets when it comes to maintaining their distinctive and powerful voices on and off stage. Walang vocalization. Before lang (mag-perform) mag-pray lang kami. basta hot water lang bago kami mag-show,” she said.
