“With the success of Kita Kita, I think what it shows is that yung mga tao are looking for something new.

“Nabuhayan ako dahil puwede eh. Magandang ano siya, precedent siya na merong need and want for new story telling and stories basically,” positibong pananaw ni Direk Mico.

“Kaya ko ginawang trilogy dahil I want to offer something more. I could have gone one story pero baka medyo maging limiting, eh. So nung I decided to make it three stories, I think I was able to offer more than don sa usual offerings ng mga filmmakers – kasi nga dahil may variety.

“These are three good stories at yung characters are very relatable.

“Speechless. Sobrang… parang, actually this whole ride, eh, since nakapasok ako ng PPP (Pista Ng Pelikulang Pilipino) parang surreal, eh.

“This is my dream, eh, since I was a little boy, as in talagang to make movies and to be able to be appreciated. Kaya I’m so happy and grateful. Ang galing, eh. It’s overwhelming,” reaksyon ni Direk Mico.

Actually, even before I was talking to them na kasi I gave them my movie.

“Sina Direk Olive (Lamasan) naman, sina Enrico Santos, they’ve been… parang they like the movie, hindi lang nila alam if it’s going to sell.

“Yon yung question na hindi nila masagot so parang they decided not to distribute it originally,” pahayag niya.

“But then when I got in sa PPP, parang don siguro na validate na, “Ah, meron talaga.” There might be something here kaya rin siguro nila pinili.”

“Dream ko talaga na mag-nationwide release pero I didn’t even know if it was gonna happen.

“I’m just ecstatic and happy do’n sa opportunity,” sabi pa niya.

Ang Triptiko ay produced ng Michelena Brothers Productions and Barrio’s Pictures. Kasama rin sa pelikula sina Kylie Padilla, Art Acuna at Karl Medina.
