Starting Monday, July 10, a new Koreanovela will pull at the heartstrings of Filipinos during primetime. This is none other than the romance-comedy Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo starring Korean celebrities Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung.

But did you know that these two lead stars are actually dating in real life?

Nam Joo Hyuk, who plays the role of swimmer Jung Joon-Hyung, and Lee Sung Kyung, who plays weightlifter Kim Bok Joo, have already worked together in the 2016 Korean drama Cheese in the Trap where they co-starred with Goblin's "bride" Kim Go Eun.

While the show first aired in November last year, the two were reported to have started dating during Christmas.

Korean website Drama Fever shared photos from entertainment news source Dispatch of the two coming out of a building together and riding a car.

Further, Drama Fever reported that when the show ended in January, Nam Joo Hyuk, who followed Lee Sung Kyung to Los Angeles, California where they had separate photo shoots, brought his rumored girlfriend flowers, NBA jerseys and matching hats.

By April, the two were seen together frequently such as when they attended a Coldplay concert in South Korea. The stars later admitted they have already been seeing each other for 5 months.

As the show received great feedback, Nam Joo Hyuk won best actor while Lee Sung Kyung won excellent actress at the MBC Drama Awards last December 2016.
