Wildflower’s lead stars Maja Salvador and RK Bagatsing’s successful onscreen team-up came as a surprise after their unusual relationship on the show gained followers. Now, viewers, who saw their chemistry, have been asking for a twist that will lead their characters Ivy Aguas and Mister Mayor to end up together.

Ivy, who was originally Lily Cruz, was only using the love-struck Arnaldo to avenge the supposed death of her parents as it was his mother Emilia who tried to kill them. But the ploy has surprisingly earned fans of the tandem.

Here are three possible reasons.

1. The “chase” thrills.

Their roles Arnaldo “Mister Mayor” Torillo and Ivy Aguas share a different kind of story. And, if there are two things that can describe the air between them, it would be tension and passion. Arnaldo seems to be too mesmerized to see that Ivy is only manipulating him by making him to do things in her favor. After all, that is her condition if Arnaldo wants to keep her. But could it also be possible that because of what Arnaldo is showing, Ivy will forget her plan for vengeance and also fall for him?

2. There is an underdog in every one-sided love story.

Powerful and wealthy, Arnaldo is head-over-heels in love with only one woman. Minus the violence, he is willing to do anything for Ivy and would always stand up for her whenever she argues with Emilia, his mother. Unfortunately, Ivy is determined to exact revenge on him and his family. Now, this is where Arnaldo gets the victim card as viewers started to pity his character since he genuinely loves Ivy.

3.It’s unpredictable.

One would never know what will turn out of Ivy and Arnaldo’s love story unless the story ends. For now, what keeps the fans going is the hope that Arnaldo might change for the better, all because of his love for Ivy. And that Ivy, in turn, will learn to forgive because of Arnaldo.
