Derek Ramsay is elated to work again with Star Cinema for the upcoming movie Kasal. According to Derek, he sees it as a new opportunity to once again grow as an actor.

“Our job as an actor is to always learn, always try to better yourself at your craft and this is really exciting because this is the most complicated character I’ll ever play and instead of being nervous about it I’m excited because I’m going to learn and I’m going to get better at my craft after this,” Derek said at the story conference of the movie.

The actor will reunite with Bea Alonzo in the film. Derek remarked that he learned a lot of things from Bea in their previous projects that he is looking forward to collaborating again with the actress.

“I’m excited when they told me it was Bea. Matagal ko nang gusto makatrabaho si Bea. We worked together both on the big screen and TV and I have to say a lot of what I’ve applied to my career and the roles that I played, I have to give some credit to Bea because she taught me a lot with how she’s treated her career and how she attacks her characters. And I’ve learned a lot from her and again I’m excited to work with her again so that I can learn more,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Bea said that she missed working with Derek and the movie will be a great venue for them challenge themselves once again because it is a different from their previous projects.

“Sa totoo lang na-miss ko siyang ka-eksena, na-miss ko na feeling ko mag-i-enjoy kami sa first scene pa lang namin together. First time kasi namin na gagawa ng ganitong klaseng pelikula so it’s extra exciting kasi it’s a totally different, parang feeling ko it’s very new for me and for him together in a movie so it’s extra exciting for me,” she stated.

Derek and Bea will also be working with Paulo Avelino in the upcoming film.
