090816-MegImperial_PUSH.jpgAlmost two years since her Kapamilya soap Moon of Desire together with JC de Vera, Meg Imperial is back and is ready to take on new roles.

Although she has been seen in a number of Ipaglaban Mo episodes last year, Meg hasn’t been as visible in the network like before. She made a teleserye on TV5 together with Claudine Barretto, Cesar Montano, and Diether Ocampo early this year titled Bakit Manipis ang Ulap.

Meg marked her return to ABS-CBN with a Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo episode along with a stint on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

In an exclusive interview with Meg, she expressed high hopes that the aforementioned projects would lead her to land more TV projects in the network.

“Hopefully. I really hope so. I’m working so hard right now,” she began.

Meg recognized that she previously “disappointed” people with what happened to her.

Siyempre hindi naman madali kasi ang daming nag-trust sa ‘yo before and at some point na-disappoint mo sila kasi napabayaan mo ang sarili mo. Now you’re gaining their trust again,” she said.

Why did she even have to take a minor break in showbiz?

“I’ve been super open about it for the past couple of years that I got depressed,” she said. “Tumaba talaga ako.”

But now that she has embraced a positive outlook in life, Meg promised that she is ready to bounce back.

“I can say now na I’m more conscious about the way I look, the way I talk to people. Sabi ko nga I’ll take care of myself now that I’ve learned my lesson from the past,” Meg said.

Meanwhile, apart from her recent TV appearances, Meg’s fans can also expect her in two movies.

Kakatapos ko lang sa dalawa which is Higanti and The Swipe, I think they are both entering MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) if ever,” she shared.

As of the moment, Meg is working with Sarah Lahbati in a film, which is being directed by Carlo J. Caparas.
