As part of the Rahyan Carlos film Ringo: The Dog Shooter, Liza Dino admitted her role as Alva a veterinarian who is in a relationship with a lesbian dog breeder (played by Janice de Belen) was a character she easily accepted. 'It’s a pivotal character in a sense na ako yung parang mag-ti-trigger ng lahat ng mga obstacles na nangyayari dun. I’m an observer sa transformation nitong tatlong broken souls na si Inca the dog, Ringo the dog shooter (Sandino Martin) and si Bong (Janice de Belen) who happens to be my girlfriend. I think napaka-importante nung character niya kasi siya yung nag-bridge dun sa tatlo to the point na sila yung nakatulong sa isa’t isa para ma-heal nila yung mga wounds na na-incur nila as they were going through their life and self-discovery,” she shared at the film’s gala premiere of the World Premieres Film Festival held last July 1 at SM North Edsa cinema.
Out of all the scenes in the movie, Liza admitted it was her intimate scene as Janice’s lover that challenged them both the most. In a recent interview, her co-star Janice has admitted it was one of the scenes she feared the most to shoot. 'Well ako naman I recognized that fear in her that’s why I really wanted to do everything to make her feel comfortable. I believe on my end kasi it was really important for us to show yung idea ng love between lesbians and for me it’s close to my heart I wanted to make sure that we do it right. So in any way that I could, kinuwento ko sa kanya yung kung paano kami ni Aiza (Seguerra). Kinuwento ko sa kanya kung paano yung mga lesbians sa relationships and she’s an amazing actress. Siguro it’s just a matter of really doing it and she did it. Kahit na talagang takot na takot siya. Pag sabi ng, ‘Action!’ nag-transform na siya eh,” she recalled.

Doing sensitive scenes on camera has never become an issue between Liza and Aiza Seguerra (who got married in the US in 2014). Liza also had a bed scene in the indie film Toto with co-star Sid Lucero last year. 'Well no issue not at all. Siguro with Aiza na-establish na namin yung trust sa isa’t isa. Dahil alam niya na I’m really passionate about my work and for me everything I do is out of my love for the craft,” she said.

The movie will be part of the World Premieres Film Festival until July 10 and Liza hopes the Filipino audience will not miss out on a good story with good acting. 'Like direk Rahyan Carlos has always said, it’s an acting piece. Direk Rahyan is an amazing director and he is actor’s director being a teacher of Master class and having that Chubbuck technique really helped in really enhancing and bringing out the best in all his actors. I’m so proud to have been part of this and to really work with these amazing actors. Plus it’s an advocacy on animal cruelty and LGBT so for me, napaka-importanteng pelikula siya dahil it will introduce all these elements in a very compelling and heartwarming work of art,” she added.
