On Tonight with Boy Abunda, the breakout box office trio The Achy Breaky Hearts Jodi Sta. Maria, Ian Veneracion, and Richard Yap shared their personal views on love.

“Always kindness and respect,” Ian said. “That’s very important in relationships and everything; in life, I guess.”

Richard mused, “Love is what makes the world go round so you should always strive to love. Not love yourself, [but] love other people.”

“I think that’s the greatest thing in the world – to love and be loved in return,” Jodi said. “And I know that love has its risks but you see, you never really lose in love. You only learn.”

Jodi’s ex-boyfriend Baron Geisler watched the movie. “He enjoyed the film he said,” the actress shared. “We met when we were 17, and naging friends naman kami eventually. Never naman kami nagkaroon ng problem.”

Whenever the actor gets involved in controversial matters like his recent URCC bout with Kiko Matos, “I would tell him that I pray for him and he should also pray for wisdom and discernment in everything that he does,” Jodi said.

During the segment Fast Talk, the actors took turns asking Jodi questions. Richard Yap asked, “ugali ko na ‘di dapat tularan ng iba?” The actress replied, “hindi ko pa nakikita.”

“Huling beses na nainis ka sa akin?” Ian asked, to which she replied, “ayaw mong kumanta sa promotions.” The actor then chuckled, “hindi mo sinasabi sa akin ‘yun ah!”

Richard then asked, “one thing you are not good at?” The actress said, “singing,” the actor then remarked, “I beg to disagree.”

The best way to cure an achy breaky heart for Jodi is, “acceptance.”

Asked to complete the statement, “I am Jodi and I deserve to be…,” the actress ruminated, “I am Jodi and I deserve to be loved and be happy.”
