In an exclusive interview with PUSH.com.ph, former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemate Josef Elizalde said he hopes to make a showbiz comeback through the upcoming Star Cinema movie, Just The 3 of Us that is set to hit theaters on May 4.

“Well, yes, hopefully. For me, I consider it as (comeback movie). Tagal ko rin nawala eh,” he said.

Josef was one of the teen housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus in 2008 that produced present celebrities Ejay Falcon (Big Winner), Robi Domingo (2nd Big Placer) and Beauty Gonzalez (4th Big Placer). He also appeared in projects like Angelito: Ang Batang Ama and Catch Me, I’m In Love, among others. He was also part of the former daytime drama All of Me which concluded early this year.

“It feels good na nandito ulit ako and then now that I’m more mature, parang mas naaappreciate ko or mas tinatanggap ko ngayon ‘yung mga lessons na naexperience ko sa bawat scene or bawat experience with sila Direk or my co-actors,” he said.

Is this going to be the start of his acting comeback? “Yes, hopefully. Hopefully, di ba?” he eagerly answered.

Sharing what kept him busy during the time he took a break in show business, Josef revealed trying other endeavors. “Well, more on parang nagvacation ako eh. Parang hinanap ko lang ‘yung sarili ko and then wala, I just tried other aspects, I tried other things lang like I went into sales, I tried doing business.”

He also said that he is back to school. “First year (college), I just started pa lang,” Josef said, adding that he is taking Business Administration at Kalayaan College.

Nonetheless, he clarified what his priorities are. “Well, if ‘yung acting nandiyan, I’ll gladly take it kasi I know naman kasi talaga deep down, it’s my passion. My heart is here in showbiz, in acting.”

When Josef was still in Big Brother’s house, he got romantically linked to fellow housemate and 3rd Big Placer Nicole Uysiuseng. When asked if they still communicate, he answered no. However, he admitted keeping in touch with the other ex-housemates. “Ah wala na. Well, we have a group na lahat kami ng mga ex-housemates sa batch namin and then we would always plan on mga get-togethers kasi ayun nga, di ba si Beauty ngayon may anak na… Actually, halos madami na rin sa’min may kids na so it’s kind of hard for us to set a reunion. Pero last year, if I’m not mistaken, mga end of last year, nagkaroon kami ng mini get-together,” he said.
