Nikki Gil shared that her fiance BJ Albert reminds her so much of her father. In an interview with Metro Weddings magazine, the Kapamilya star relayed the qualities of BJ which mirrors the traits of her dad.

'He reminds me so much of my dad. He's very secure—not cocky, just confident. He's happy and content. It makes a lot of difference,' she said.

According to Nikki, one thing that she is also very proud of BJ is the latter's humility. 'He doesn't have any sense of entitlement, even if he has every reason to have it. He's very responsible and driven that he makes me want to grow more,' she said.

She further relayed that her fiance's faith is what makes him truly a standout. 'I think what really got me, though, is how much he loves God. Without being too out there about it. He just has a relationship with Him.'

Nikki and BJ got engaged December of last year. According to Nikki, BJ proposed to her while she was on her way to a corporate event in Tagaytay at the time.

'It was a total surprise. I knew it was going to happen soon. If anything, I knew it was going to happen this year. We were already doing the math. If we wanted to have babies at a certain age, we needed to get married soon. I just didn't know it was going to happen that day. I was trying to remember everything he was saying, but I just remember feeling so much peace in my heart,' she shared.

For Nikki, BJ is an answered prayer. 'I like writing in my journal, I've been doing it forever. I remember starting one where I wrote 'To my future husband', I was 13. I wanted to fill it up for whomever I'm going to marry where I listed traits—mostly similar to my dad's—of who and how I want him to be. Then I met BJ. When I took out the list again, I realized he just checked everything on it. He's definitely an answered prayer—not just a single prayer but many prayers. He's really a Godsend.'
