On Aquino and Abunda Tonight, Astig Athlete ng Quezon City Kenzo Gutierrez said financial security is not the reason why he auditioned for Pinoy Big Brother 737. Kenzo studied at the Ateneo De Manila University from Elementary to College and he comes from a well-off family.

The reason he decided to become one of the housemates is because, “it made me so interested about what happens behind the screen.” Another reason was that he wanted to appease his dad who wanted him to go to the University of the Philippines for College. Kenzo told his dad that being in Kuya’s house would also allow him to “meet people from all over the country,” just like being at UP would.

Kenzo’s parents separated when he was ten years old. Kenzo shared that his mom wanted to call him “Kenzo” and she thought of two names that would allow her to call him that, thus Kenzo’s real name-- Karlos Lorenzo.

Kenzo also plays football. Asked how football differs from other sports, Kenzo said, “I think the dedication and hard work you have to put in is so much more compared to that of other sports.”

Aside from playing football, Kenzo also has a second family in his “barkada of eight.” This group of eight boys called themselves “TFG,” and they were formed when they were in second year high school. What is it that binds these boys together? Kenzo answered, “We all had that personality that wanted to go out, parang mga kengkoy.”

Aside from his group, Kenzo is also popular with girls and he just got out of a relationship that lasted for two years and four months. Kenzo said the reason for their breakup “are small fights that would just keep occurring.”

Is Kenzo open to falling in love inside Kuya’s house? This articulate athlete said, “At this point I’m not really looking for it but then I’m open to the idea. But given the fact na kakagaling ko lang sa breakup, It’s not really my priority.”
