With his role as the aloof yet mysterious Greg Navarro in the Primetime Bida series Inday Bote, Matteo Guidicelli said he is enjoying his newest show. “He's a very cold guy, but kumbaga mahuhulog siya sa isang ordinaryong babae, kay Inday kumbaga. Love triangle namin si Kean (Cipriano) na parang best friend. Siya yung mas astig. Sobrang ganda nito kasi kasama si Alex Gonzaga and napakakulit na babae di ba? Sobrang astig siya. Sobrang hyper at I think she's a perfect partner eh. Walang down time sa kanya eh. Palaging up, palaging game,” he admitted.

When asked if there was a chance for any kissing scenes between them, he said, “I'm not sure yet eh. We'll see if the story permits it. It really depends on the story ‘di ba? So ayun.”

Matteo said he is aware that fans of Sarah Geronimo might be protective of her relationship with him, but he saud there is absolutely nothing to be worried about. “Ah wala, wala po yan. Trabaho lang po namin yan. Alex is a wonderful person and best friends nga sila ni Sarah eh. Sobrang close nila. Basta sobrang exciting itong bagong teleserye namin, sobrang parang family drama at nakaka-excite din kasi nakakaiba eh. Yung effects namin, may mga duwende, talagang pinaghirapan talaga nila and sobrang nakaka-excite,” he said of the show which was adapted from Pablo Gomez's popular comic series.

The Inday Bote actor said although he and his co-star are close, he does not feel the need to give her any advice on dating. “Alam na ni Alex yan eh, madami siyang sinusulat eh (laughs). She knows, she's a very intelligent lady. She has non-stop words or ideas. I'm sure she knows. Just choose the right person and be smart with your heart,” he shared.

Matteo admitted he still has a lot of goals he wants to achieve right now. “I always believe you only live once so everything you can and want to do, you have to do it. There's no time to hate on people, to make problems or something or make issues of things. Just do what you can do and always ask for more. Madami pa tayong pangarap, ‘di ba? I believe that we should never stop dreaming. We only live once kaya it's a waste if we waste the day doing nothing. It's important to create change in this world in any little way. You can do it in your household, in your personal way. It's important to keep busy and to do as much as you can dahil we can't take life for granted eh. We always have to take it to the next level,” he shared.

The same theory applies to his triathlons according to Matteo. “Every race talaga is a humbling experience. Every Ironman or triathlon, kahit ano. It's always a challenge kasi ilang months preparation yan. With our schedules sa showbiz hindi natin alam yung tamang pahinga, yung tulog. Kumbaga naka-handicap ka na, wala kang tulog di ba? So you really have to schedule your training plans especially when your race comes and you really want to give up kasi masakit na talaga. But you think about why you're doing it, why you trained for it, the time you invested in it. So that will push you to the max and you always ask for more. Don't stop because you're there for a reason. I never give up. Kahit anong bagay sa buhay, kahit sports, kahit trabaho, kahit love life. Kahit masakit gusto ko pa (laughs),” he said.

Even with the constant rumors that his relationship with the pop star princess is on the rocks, Matteo indirectly told the media that he is not the type to give up so easily, whether it's towards work, sports or his relationships. “Alam naman natin kapag nasa sports tayo or kahit sa buhay or whatever, minsan nararamdaman natin sobrang sakit na, sobrang hindi na kaya eh pero gusto mo pa di ba? Ituloy mo pa rin di ba, never give up. You'll always want to take it to the next level because you believe in what your doing. It applies to everything. Merong mga instances na gusto mo talaga mag-give up pero Pinoys never give up eh. So we always like to take it to the next level. Not just in sports but in our everyday lives,” he said.
