Comedian Ricardo Reyes aka Richie D' Horsie has passed away Friday evening due to complications from diabetes, kidney failure and stroke. He was 58 years old.

According to a text message from his niece April Alcober to ABS-CBNNews.com, the actor died in his residence at 9:24 pm.

In a post by co-star and friend, scriptwriter Bibeth Orteza, on her Facebook account, she recounted funny moments with Richie including one time he told her son to brush his teeth so as not to be 'toothless' like him.

Richie is best known for being the sidekick to comedy trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon.

His works include the sitcoms Iskul Bukol, Okay Ka Fairy Ko and noon time show Eat Bulaga.

During a segment on today's episode of Eat Bulaga, the hosts paid tribute to the comedian.

'Nakikiramay kami sa mga anak, sa asawa ni Kabayo, si Joy. Sa lahat ng mga kamaganak, nakikiramay po ang Eat Bulaga sa inyo,' Vic Sotto said.

'Gusto naming magbigay pugay at makiramay sa pamilya ni Richie D' Horsie, original ng Eat Bulaga,' Tito Sotto added.

Richie's wake is at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina.
