102915-DINDI_main.jpgWalang makeup pero napakaganda pa rin ni Dindi Gallardo nang humarap siya sa ilang entertainment press during the presscon of Cinema One Originals 2015. Ayon kay Dindi, she is just playing a cameo role in one of Cinema One’s finalist, Dahlin’ Nick, na pinagbibigahan ni Raymond Bagatsing at idinirek ni Sari Dalena.

“I’ve always wanted to work with Sari. It’s a cameo role, the main thing here is really Nick Joaquin’s life story. Yeah, it’s a cameo role but it’s memorable,” kuwento ng former beauty queen.

Dindi will play the role of Imelda Marcos (Lance Raymond is Ferdinand Marcos) at hindi naman daw siya nagkaroon ng doubt na tanggapin ang offer.

“No, not at all. Sabi ng kumontak sa akin, ‘I need you for a role and it’s Imelda Marcos.’ Sabi ko, ‘Naku, Imelda Marcos. Why me?’ And they just said because they need someone to play like someone who shows grace under fire. At meron daw akong ganu’ng aura. So, sabi ko, ‘okey, let’s do it!’”

Gumawa din daw siya ng sariling research sa buhay ni Imelda para ma-portray nang maayos ang character nito.

“I actually did some research kahit sandali lang yung role. It’s very important kasi when you’re building someone’s aura. I found this interesting person that owns this private library and it’s at The Fort, do’n ako nag-research.

“I did this whole Imelda research because I wanted to understand and build on that aura, di ba? She has so much presence eh,” sabi pa niya.

Kapipirma lang ng kontrata ni Dindi sa Viva and she will be staying for good na raw sa Pilipinas. Inamin niya rin na she’s looking forward to do teleseryes in the coming months.

“I’d love to... I’d love to do serye and I think, they’re (Viva) working on it,” kaswal niyang pahayag.

Sa mga naging katrabaho noon, sobrang nami-miss daw niya si Fernando Poe Jr. na naging kapareha niya sa Ang Probinsyano.

“I’ve got to work with a lot, pero ang nami-miss ko talaga is Tito Ronnie. I’ve worked with him sa Ang Probinsyano, one of his favorite projects,” pag-alala pa niya.

Masaya rin daw siya na ginawang teleserye ang pelikula nila noon ni Da King.

“I’m happy, I’m so happy, it’s a project na... would be great for TV. Sometimes I watch it, siyempre sinilip ko, eh, and it’s doing well, so happy for that.

“Yung Ang Probinsyano, I love that film, siguro that’s my most memorable film. There’s nothing like working with Tito Ronnie and he’s the one who wrote that. He would make me kuwento sa set. He loved that film, the screenplay, everything... he’s so proud of it. May part 2 pa nga yon, eh, di ba?” medyo nostalgic na pagre-recall ng aktres.

Being FPJ’s leading lady noon, ano ang masasabi niya na si Coco Martin ang gumanap sa TV version nito?

“He’s a great actor, I saw him also before in Walang Hanggan, I really got to watch it, I was in the States but I remember watching it. I’m a CharDawn fan kaya pinanood ko yon,” ended Dindi.
