Actress, host, and singer Toni Gonzaga joked to the press during an interview when she was asked for the nth time about her and boyfriend Paul Soriano’s engagement. The clamor for her and the director’s engagement came after long-time couples, Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes and Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero announced they are getting hitched soon.
“Bago siguro ako mag-menopause. ‘Yan ang deadline ko. Baka siguro magfi-fifty na ko at wala pa din aba eh magpapasurrogate na ko (laughs),” Toni said when she was asked when is her deadline for Paul’s proposal.

She emphasized that she is in no rush to get married. “Sinong nauuna siya pa ang nahuhuli. Sinong nahuhuli, siya pa nauuna. ‘Di ko minamadali, darating yun. ‘Di minamadali ang ganyang bagay. Maganda yung tamang-tama, kaysa yung madali tapos hilaw,” the Multi-Media Star commented.

As for the pressure of getting married, Toni mentioned that she’s okay with her relationship with Paul and that she’s giving way to those who got engaged this year. “Ibigay na natin sa lahat ng na-engage this year, taon nila this year. Ibigay na natin sa kanila. Ako anytime, ‘di ako nagmamadali, kung hindi this year, next year okay lang hangang ‘di ako menopause.”

As of now, Toni said she’d rather focus on her upcoming concert Celestine this October at the MOA Arena. “We are very happy with the ticket sales dahil marami sa ating mga kababayan nagpareserve na ng tickets. I’m excited to perform big ideas, in terms of new ideas, na hindi pa talaga natin nakikita sa concert scene. Giving them a concert, we want them to have a different experience watching Celestine,” Toni revealed.
