Comedienne Tiya Pusit is battling kidney failure and aortic aneurysm. She is currently confined at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City. The comedienne’s family son is seeking help from showbiz and political personalities in order to save his mother's life.

In an interview with Yahoo Philippines, the son of the comedienne, Christian Uybengkee stated, 'We’re seeking for strength and we’re seeking also for (help) kasi maraming natulungan ang nanay ko pagdating sa politics dahil siya 'yung nagi-endorse sa politicians dati. So sila ‘yung binabalikan namin.'

So far, Sen. Nancy Binay and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada responded to the appeal, both donating P50,000 each. Tiya Pusit will need to undergo two operations which are the placement of a stent draft worth P450,000 and the double bypass that would cost up to P400,000.

In a statement sent by Tiya Pusit's relatives to the morning show Umagang Kay Ganda, they relayed that they have been trying to raise the funds they needed for the comedienne’s operations. 'We, her siblings and children, appreciate everyone who has given much needed help she needs, even pledges and prayers. Tiya Pusit is very sick, her condition delicate. She is supposed to undergo a hybrid procedure for her aortic aneurysm which costs a lot. This is what we have been busy with, finding sources, kind people to help her get this surgery,' the statement said.
