On Tapatan ni Tunying, The Voice Kids third placer Juan Karlos Labajo described the pain of losing his mother. Juan Karlos or JK, whose mother who passed away days before he auditioned, said that his mother has always been his inspiration. 'Nung time po na yun nag-audition po ako, napakabigat pa po ng pakiramdam kasi po 5 days before, nakita ko talaga ang mommy ko namatay, nakahiga lang...' he said.

He also revealed that ever since his mother was diagnosed, he was the one who took care of her so he saw everything that she went through. JK said that if she were alive, his mother would be ecstatic to see him on TV. While he is still coping with his mother’s death, JK said that life is short and so we should live it with happiness.

JK admitted that he has not seen his father after he left them. Despite having no connections with him anymore, JK said he still wants to see his father.

JK also remembered how he kept on moving from place to place. 'Since the day I was born, parang fifty, hundred times ako palipat lipat ng bahay...'

He also said that he has the same life story as Lyca Gairanod. 'Parang same story lang po ang buhay namin ni Lyca kasi po noon po nangangalakal din po.'
