Amid being detained inside the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at Camp Crame, Deniece Cornejo has seemingly found a new friend in Roxanne Cabanero, the other Vhong Navarro rape complainant.

Cabanero, in a report by The Buzz on Sunday, even took the time to visit and offer some words of encouragement to Cornejo recently.

'I can see it in your eyes that you're very positive with what's going on even though it's really hard. Mahirap pero I can say na she's really strong. I'm proud of you,' she said.

Cabanero expressed hopes in obtaining justice for their cases against the It's Showtime host.

'Sana makamit natin 'yung hustisya na matagal na natin gustong makamit. Be strong. And I'm actually happy that you're happy' she said.

Recall that Cornejo turned 23 last June 1 inside the CIDG unit and marked it with a fellowship attended by around 20 guests including Cabanero, her relatives and family.

Cornejo, who surrendered to the police last month, said that she wants to continue fulfilling her goals.

'Gusto ko maging masaya ulit. Gusto ko ipagpatuloy 'yung plano ko sa buhay ko na maganda. Gusto ko ipagpatuloy 'yung gusto kong mensahe, gusto kong gawin para sa society and para sa mga taong nangangailangan ng tulong mo,' Cornejo said.

Cornejo, along with her co-accused Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz in the January 22 attack of Navarro are currently facing trial for the non-bailable offense serious illegal detention charge filed by the actor against them.
