Daniel Padilla serenaded a jam-packed Araneta Coliseum last Wednesday, April 30, 2014, for his second birthday concert titled DOS.

Daniel performed his popular hit “Na Sa Iyo Na Ang Lahat” and his version of “With a Smile” (originally performed by The Eraserheads). Daniel sang “Liwanag sa Dilim” with guest performer Khalil Ramos. Toni Gonzaga also graced the concert and performed “Every Breath You Take” with the Teen King. Rico Blanco, whom Daniel admittedly idolizes, performed “Umaaraw, Umuulan” with him. Karla Estrada also performed in the concert and sang “In My Life” with DJ. Parking Five, Daniel’s band, the Tacloban boy group Reo Brothers and Richard Yap were also present as guest performers.

The crowd grew wilder when Kathryn Bernardo appeared on stage and was serenaded by Daniel with “Put Your Head on My Shoulder”. They sang “Got To Believe” together which was the theme song of their now defunct hit soap. The KathNiel fans got more “kilig” when Daniel kissed Kathryn on the right cheek during the concert. Before Kath left the stage, she was again serenaded by Daniel with “It Might Be You.”

Toni remarked that she was happy to be part of the Teen King’s concert. “Daniel is very charming; he’s such a great performer. He’s very endearing to the crowd so I am very happy to be part of this concert. Parang feeling ko isang napakasayang fan’s day ang nangyari. I’m very happy to be part of this,” Toni said.

Rico said that he feels honored to be part of DOS. “Ang saya ng experience. I’m happy to be on stage with one he most loved Filipinos today. It’s an honor for me to be handpicked by Daniel himself. I’m representing my peers from the alternative scene. I’m taking this as an acknowledgement from the most admired teen of this generation,” Rico stated.

Meanwhile, Kathryn stated that she was happy for her onscreen partner’s latest achievement. “Masaya ako para sa kanya kasi siya na ulit ang nagpe-perform and ‘yung makapuno ng Araneta isang malaking achievement ‘yun. So super saya ako para sa kanya kasi for the second time super successful ng concert,” she said.

Daniel expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported his concert. He remarked that his fans are his inspiration. 'Masaya, nakakapagod at nag-enjoy naman ako at sana ay nag-enjoy sila. Masaya ako at nandito sila kahit pangalawang concert na. Masaya kasi nagawa ko 'yung mga gusto kong kanta. Mas naging inspirasyon pa na ayusin pa lalo ang ginagawa ko, ang pagkanta at pag-arte mas aayusin ko pa po,” he said.
