Now that she's on extended vacation in the country, Antoinette Taus admitted she is happy about the unexpected showbiz comeback of sorts she's had this year. After parting ways with her non-showbiz boyfriend of almost two years, the talented singer-actress said she is okay with just spending quality time with friends right now. “I'm actually single. I haven't really said anything yet but yes it's difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship and I feel like I'm cursed with long-distance relationships all the time. So every time na lang I end up being with somebody it ends up turning into long distance. That's just how my life is, I don't know where I'm going to end up. So if I do end up with someone it has to be somebody that can accept and understand that this is my life, that I always have to travel and be in different places, I don't know what's going to happen,” she told Push.com.ph.

The 33-year-old Ang TV alum said she originally preferred to date someone who was not working in the same industry. “You know what, sinasabi ko na baka mas okay yung non-showbiz pero at the end of the day you don't know eh. Kasi merong mga crazy players na showbiz. Merong mga mas crazy pa lalo na player na hindi showbiz. Iba iba naman lahat ng tao so honestly, whoever God thinks will take care of me and I will love unconditionally, kung sino man siya bahala si God,” she explained.

Antoinette said that based from her experience, dating men with mixed nationalities has always been a good choice. Basta mixed look masaya ako dun,” she said.

On keeping herself looking always youthful, Antoinette said her secret is a mixture of taking good care of herself physically and emotionally. “Sometimes when I'm so tired from taping, the worst thing you can do is fall asleep with makeup on. But always cleanse gently and always use a moisturizer and stay happy! Health it really truly is wealth and it is everything. When I say health I don't mean like dieting, I mean putting good things into your body kasi whatever you put into it, that's what is going to manifest physically. Kahit yung mga taong mahilig mag-sweets, mag-chocolate, nagkaka-pimples or whatever. So I say be healthy, eat good, right food. Not dieting, just eat right and be healthy. Also, always try to be happy kasi stress is so bad, it's the number one cause of cancer. It causes aging, it causes heart disease and so many different diseases so always be happy. Just take things lightly. Pray,” she advised.
A good relationship with God is also one of her top priorities as well as constantly trying to improve herself as a performer. “I always stay close to God. Pray kasi everything else in your life, whatever you want to happen, ‘pag dinaan mo sa dasal, you’re most likely to achieve good great things. In the States I was constantly training over and over, non-stop. Because I believe as an artist, if you are a true artist there is never any end to growth and learning. And getting better is infinite, so people who think that they're already great, that's when you really stop growing as a person and as an artist. So just always keep doing your best and keep trying new things, keep trying to reinvent yourself and keep growing,” she said.
