Si Sam matagal na naming pinaplano ‘to pero never pa natugma kaya I guess we’re really young eh so sabi naming, ‘Sam gawa naman tayo ng alam mo ‘yun para sa kabataan so sana magawa namin.”

The young singer recently released a song titled “Ngiti” with Gary Valenciano which he is dedicating to fellow kababayans. “May bago akong album and nag-release ako ng bagong single with Gary Valenciano called ‘Ngiti.’ Inspiration of that song is mga Pinoy kasi alam ko mga ugali ng bawat Pilipino is very fun, loving and lagi tayong ngumingiti kahit gaano kahirap ang buhay, kahit ano man ang mangyari sa buhay nila they keep their head up high so ‘yung message na ‘yun napaka-importante sa mga kababayan, sa mga young Filipinos,” he said.

He also recently joined Maja Salvador on her dance tour and Young JV is looking forward to joining the actress hopefully on her world tour. “I am very blessed to be a part of the tour kasi it’s getting bigger and bigger. Sana next year may world tour na kami and it’s a very talented group, ‘yun it’s a strong team.”

Young JV expressed his happiness for the continuous growth of OPM in the country these days. “Ako po I am very happy with everything, I’m happy with Abra, I’m happy with Sam (Concepcion), sabi ko nga tuloy-tuloy na ‘to, let’s just help one another kasi ‘yung youth kasi chini-change na natin ‘yung OPM eh, ‘yung tunog new school na hindi na masyado old school so masarap sa feeling kasi modernized na ‘yung OPM natin, that’s a good sign.”

When asked what he thinks is his edge from other artists in the country, he commented, “Siguro I am a song writer, aside from being a song writer I dance and I sing, I rap at the same time, so siguro ‘yun ‘yung difference ko sa iba.”
