During the successful trade event of Juan Dela Cruz, Erich Gonzales admitted that she felt put on the spot when Coco Martin joked that they could have made a perfect couple if only she didn’t have a boyfriend in real life. The actor attempted to pursue her on a romantic level when they worked together on the indie film Noy. But Erich stressed that Coco didn’t really mean anything by his playful comments.

“Oo nga eh, kanta lang tapos biglang ganon. Maloko talaga siya at nakita niyo naman lahat yun. So ‘di naman dapat sineseryoso. Sanay na. ako, palabiro talaga si Coco. Yung nakikita niyo sa Juan dela Cruz na palabiro ganon siya in real life,” she said in an interview with Push.abs-cbn.com.ph last March 7.

Erich went on to say that she had sworn not to enter a relationship with a fellow celebrity. “Nasabi ko na po before na hindi talaga ako mai-in love sa taga showbiz. Siya (Coco) rin naman. Ewan ko kung bakit [niya nasabi yun], nagloloko lang yun. Huwag niyo paniwalaan, nagbibiro lang yun,” she reiterated.

When asked if her boyfriend gets jealous of her onscreen chemistry with Coco, Erich claimed that the former is very much secure with their relationship. “Wala na, hindi ganon. Sobrang sinusubaybayan niya ang Juan dela Cruz. Isa siya sa avid viewers ng show. He’s very supportive,” she beamed.

As for the successful ratings of the said teleserye, Erich assured the Kapamilya viewers that there are more exciting events to watch out for in the love story of Juan and Rosario. “Wala kaming ine-expect na kahit ano. Sobrang masaya kami di namin akalain ganito suporta ng tao. Asahan nila na ibibigay namin lahat lahat para mas maganda yung show.”
